Westfield Heritage Village Conservation Area is open all year round. Enjoy hiking our trails and walking the Village grounds in any season. Visitors can use their Hamilton Conservation Authority Membership card to access the area or purchase a day pass from our automated gate system using your debit or credit card. All for the one great price at $15.00 per car load. Our area is open starting at 8:00 a.m. and closes at dusk. (Reminder that the time changes this weekend on Nov. 1 which means the area is open until 5:00 p.m.)

Westfield is a great place to walk whether it’s doing “laps” around the Village Green or hiking the trail system through our wooded area. The terrain is mostly flat making it an easy trail to walk or maybe the kids would rather ride their bikes to enjoy the almost 8 km of trails and walkways.

Picnic tables are available (winter picnics anyone?) and our washrooms are open too. Don’t forget to pick-up a map from the map board. There is a map of our trails and another one for the village grounds. Visitors are often intrigued by our historical buildings, and while the buildings are not open to visit inside, you can discover their history using the map as your guide. Kids may enjoy trying our scavenger hunt posted in the admissions area or maybe give our game app a try. Visit the app store on your phone and download TaleBlazer. Once you have it on your phone you won’t need the internet to play. Just remember to scroll down to the bottom of each page to press “ok”.

This is a friendly reminder to keep your four-legged family members on a leash at all times and remember to pick-up after them. We look forward to seeing you at Westfield soon! You can also reach out to us by calling 519-621-8851 or email westfield@conservationhamilton.ca

Thank you to Heather Petre for the lovely photo of the Jerseyville Train Station.
