No. The maintenance, parking and gardening positions do not require costuming.  Neither do our conservation volunteer opportunities. There will likely be other safety requirements you will need to adhere to when volunteering such as the wearing of safety boots. Sometimes there are additional non-costumed positions depending on the program being delivered. These are usually announced at the beginning of the specific program.

The majority of our programming requires quite a bit of training in order for you to become an effective volunteer. We expect you to provide at least 4 hours per month or a minimum of 45 hours per year.  We understand that “life happens” and we are more than willing to talk to you, individually, if you feel you are not able to make the minimum commitment in a given year.

Of course, for additional questions please contact the Coordinator for Volunteer Services at: or call at 519-621-8851.
