Many visitors travel to Westfield not to discover local history, but to walk the very sets used in such shows as Murdoch Mysteries, Frankie Drake and Anne With An E. Westfield is probably most famous for the Kevin Sullivan production of Anne of Green Gables filmed here in the 1980s. Visitors travel from all over the world to see for themselves the places used to bring the Anne story alive.
This coming Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018 join Program Interpreter, Bill Wheeler, at 2:00 p.m. to enjoy a guided tour of the areas used in the many seasons of Murdoch Mysteries. Bill will share some of his first hand experiences working on the set of this now famous Canadian production.
Come stroll the grounds and enjoy the very early signs of fall. Our volunteers continue to come out each Sunday from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. until the end of October to share with visitors the many interesting stories that make up our local history. Admission for an adult is $12.00, a senior is $10.00, a youth 6-17 years is $6.50 and a child 5 and under is free. We also accept the Hamilton Conservation Authority membership for up to 2 adults and 4 youth. Hope to see you soon!
