Westfield Celebrates Halloween!
Sunday, October 21, 2018
12:30pm - 4:00pm
Enjoy pumpkin-themed games, activities and a craft, all within the village’s beautiful, historic setting. You will want to bring your camera to capture this very special day!
Some extra special activities are planned for Pumpkin Sunday. In several historic homes and at the bake oven, pumpkin will be the main ingredient in cooking and baking demonstrations. You might even get a little taste!
On the village green, pumpkins are the heart of traditional games, races and activities. Families can work together to create a unique take home craft in the one room log schoolhouse. Take your picture with some friendly scarecrows or in countless beautiful locations in the village.
Little ones are welcome to wear their costumes if they wish. An extra treat this day will be a special Halloween sing-along led by The LONE Rhubarbarian on guitar & Gwen Harper on piano.
Friday October 26 & Saturday October 27
6:30pm - 9:30pm
Lit by lanterns, candles and pumpkins, the village is a beautiful and unique place to explore at nighttime!
Travel throughout the village and see what surprises await. You never know what might be behind a door or around a corner. Westfield’s historic buildings are the setting for storytelling, demonstrations and unusual encounters. A magical shadow play with piano accompaniment will entertain you in the Mountsberg church.
This year, the village green will be visited by members of a special traveling troupe. A miniature Night Circus will feature beautifully dressed Edwardian acrobats, carnival games and magic tricks.
Westfield’s forests are the setting for mystery, adventure and, often, the unexpected. For these two evenings only, Westfield’s already beautiful wooded trails are being transformed into a magical nighttime experience. Choose a pathway and enjoy a delightful Pumpkin Walk, sparkling Illuminated Forest and unique Fairy Village.
While this is an all-ages event, two clearly marked areas are for the very brave only. Journey to the Haunted Train Station for some heart-pounding fun or venture over the covered bridge to a little place in the woods where a strange community has taken up residence
Admission to these events is $12.00 for adults, $10.00 for Seniors 65+, $6.50 for Youth. Children 5 and under are free. A Family Rate for two adults and two youths is available for $32.00.
