Westfield's popular summer event, Ice Cream Carnival, is taking place on Sunday, August 6 and Monday August 7 from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. There will be the usual ice cream demonstrations, ice cream samples and carnival games, but this year there will be two extra special guests as well. Organizers of the Telling Tales Event (taking place September 17) have arranged a special sneak peek at what visitors can expect at the 2017 Festival.
On Sunday, August 6 Paul Covello, an illustrator, designer and motion graphic artist from Toronto will be sharing his new book Canada 123. Join Paul at 2:00 p.m. at the Bandstand stage to hear about his new book. Come back for a second day and meet Derek Douglas , illustrator of Canada: Our Road to Democracy and Canada: Our Home and Native Land. Derek will be making a special presentation at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7.
