The Maple Syrup Festival is an annual tradition for many including the volunteers at Westfield. When visiting us there are a few things that you may want to keep in mind.
The St. George Lions Club is looking after our pancake house. Their menu is as follows: Pancakes – 1.00, Sausage – 2/1.00, Ham – 1.00, Syrup - .50, Coffee – 1.25, Juice – 1.50, Hot Cider – 1.50, Milk – 1.50, Pop – 1.25, Water – 1.25 The Lions group is only able to take cash so you will want to bring some extra cash to enjoy the delicious pancakes. The pancakes are available from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m.
We do accept credit and debit cards in the Gift Shop which is operated by the Friends of Westfield. This fundraising initiative is a great way to support numerous projects. At this time of year the shop is well stocked with maple syrup and maple treats.
We are frequently asked about whether dogs are permitted to visit. Dogs are permitted on site on a leash, but not in any of the buildings including dogs in arms. (Service dogs are the only exception). There are many buildings to visit so keep in mind that someone may be spending most of their visit outside waiting with the dog. We also expect it to be very busy during the festival.
Strollers and wagons are a great way to explore the Village with your little ones, however, Westfield’s historic buildings are too small to safely accommodate modern strollers. Please park strollers and wagons outside the buildings.
You can buy your tickets when you arrive. We accept debit, credit and cash. If you decide to buy your ticket online we do need you to print your ticket and present it at our admission kiosk which is located past the Ironwood where we serve pancakes. We also accept the Hamilton Conservation Authority membership pass. At Westfield it is valid for 2 adults and up to 4 youth (6-17 years old). Extra adults cost $12.00 each, seniors 65+ cost $10.00 each, youth cost $6.50 each and children 5 and under are free. If you would like to buy a membership or renew one come see us at the Membership kiosk and we will happily take care of that for you.
