Join us Sunday, April 7 from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. for a little lacemaking. Visitors can try their hand at the traditional art of bobbin lace making. Our talented lace maker, Diana, will demonstrate and demystify this seemingly complex process and show the beautiful results. Lace making will take place throughout the afternoon at the Marr Shop.
Many of our other volunteers will be out as well. This is a great time of year to take your time and visit the Early Settlement Area, Lockhart Farm House, the Inn, watch demonstrations at the Print Shop, Blacksmith Shop, Cabinetmaker Shop, Spinning and Weaving Shop or stop by the General Store for a yummy treat. We will be serving homemade cookies, tea biscuits and old-fashioned sodas.
Admission for an adult is $12.00, a senior 65+ is $10.00, a youth 6-17 years is $6.50 and a child 5 and under is free. We also accept the Hamilton Conservation Authority Membership which can be used towards 2 adults and up to 4 youth for admission to this event.
