Join us Sunday, August 5 and Monday, August 6 from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. for our fun filled Ice Cream Carnival. There will be homemade ice cream to sample, steam traction engine rides, and of course, carnival games. There will also be special guests each day sponsored by the Telling Tales Festival. On Sunday at 2:00 p.m. join children's author and illustrator, Paul Covello, who will present his books, including Canada Animals. On Monday at 2:00 p.m. children's author, Jennifer Mook-Sang will share from her book Captain Monty Takes The Plunge. Both presentations will be from the Victorian Bandstand. All of these activities are part of your admission to the site.
Tickets for this event are available at the door, but can also be purchased online. It is very helpful and speeds up entry if the tickets are printed before coming out. Adult admission is $12.00, a senior 65+ is $10.00, a youth 6-17 years is $6.50 and a child 5 and under is free. The Family rate is $32.00 and covers 2 adults and 2 youth. The Hamilton Conservation Authority Membership is also valid for 2 adults and up to 4 youth. If you have online tickets or a membership come see us at the special membership entrance. Keep to your left when entering the admissions area.
Debit and credit are accepted at the admission booths, but you will want to bring cash to purchase treats from our vendors. Copetown Lions will be serving up yummy burgers and fries. Crazy Cravings will have Kawartha Ice Cream available in a sundae. The Ironwood Hall is open serving pie and ice cream and the General Store will have sweet treats available. These are all cash only vendors.
Keep in mind that we do allow dogs on our property, but they are not permitted in any of our buildings or on the Steam Traction Engine Rides.
