We are putting the finishing touches on our Halloween Night Program which is taking place Friday, Oct. 26 and Sat. Oct. 27 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. This is a family friendly event with 2 areas marked as "Scary". You are able to avoid these two areas if you don't wish to be scared. The areas are the Train Station (#20) and the Early Settlement Area (starting at #13 Covered Bridge). In the rest of the Village you will find typical Halloween themed scenarios including a Museum of Curiosities, Pumpkin Walk, Illuminated Forest and Fairy Village. We will also have a special theme this year called "Night Circus". Visit with a some of the famous circus performers, play some carnival games or witness a glittering party at the Gillen House.(#23).
Tickets are available at the door (admission kiosk on the right). Adult admission is $12.00, a senior (65+) is $10.00, a youth (6-17 years) is $6.50 and a child 5 and under is free. You can also buy tickets on-line. (Buying on-line does not guarantee entry.) Please print your ticket and present the ticket at admissions on the left hand side. We also accept the HCA membership which gives you admission for 2 adults and up to 4 youth. Please present your pass at the admissions on the left hand side. We will record your pass number there. We will start to sell tickets at 6:00 p.m. and the historic area will open at 6:30 p.m.
Ancaster Lions will be in the Ironwood Hall offering light refreshments including hamburgers, hot dogs, cookies and hot drinks.
The site will be dark lit by candles and old fashioned street lights. We also expect to be busy so this is an event that your pets may not enjoy. Pets are not permitted in any buildings so we encourage you to make Fido comfortable at home and tell him of your adventures when you get back. See you soon.
