May is Museum Month and we are so pleased to announce that starting May 22 Westfield will open a selection of historical buildings, on Sundays and holidays. (Victoria Day, July 1, Civic Holiday, Labour Day and Thanksgiving Day) Visitors will have the opportunity to go inside some of our buildings each week to visit with our costumed volunteers as they share what life was like in a by-gone time. The General Store and Gift Shop will also be open.
To add to the fun there will also be a family craft to try and a children’s activity to try your hand at. Remember to check our facebook page for the most up-to-date information about what’s happening each Sunday. For this experience reservations are not required. Visitors can use their HCA membership card or pay when you arrive. The cost is $15.50 for the car and driver and each additional person in the car is $5.00. Children 5 and under are free. The historical buildings and activities will be open from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Plan to come out early and have a picnic in our picnic area or stay a bit later to hike the easy trails that run through our property. We’re so excited to see you!
