Westfield Seeks Volunteer to Fill a Very Important Role this December

Are you jolly, an excellent communicator and have a hearty laugh? Westfield Heritage Village is undergoing an area-wide search for a volunteer to fill a very special role, and pair of boots, this December. This might be the role you’ve always dreamed of. The position will require wearing a special festive winter uniform, sitting for extended periods, occasional appearances in outdoor locations and posing for photos with children and families on a regular basis.

According to Lisa Hunter, who heads up public programs at Westfield, “Long white whiskers and ownership of tall black boots are an asset, but not essential.”

Assignments will take place at Westfield Heritage from late November through to late December.

Westfield’s Coordinator of Volunteers, Tajinder Rataul, notes that, “The selection process will include auditioning for a panel containing several young experts. This is an unpaid position, but milk and cookies will be provided.”

If you are interested in applying for this very special volunteer position, please send a letter outlining your qualifications to westfield@conservationhamilton.ca. The deadline for applications is October 17, 2019. Selected applicants will undergo an initial interview and then an informal audition for a youth panel.
