Halloween is a special time of year at Westfield Heritage Village. It's a chance to be creative in a whole new way and this year is no exception. The theme is "Into the Woods" and we invite you to experience nature in an adventurous new way on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Journey through the village, lit by candles, lanterns and pumpkins and enjoy an experience for all ages. Choose a pathway. Will it be the delightful Pumpkin Walk, sparkling illuminated forest or the enchanting fairy village? Perhaps you prefer to set out on a scavenger hunt to search for Cinderella's gold slipper, a wandering white cow, or Red Riding Hood's cape. For the very brave; journey to the Haunted Train Station or venture to the creepy covered bridge to a place in the woods where nature seems to have taken a wrong turn.
When you return from the woods visit the busy broom makers in their workshop and then step next door to meet Mastro Geppetto at his bench. Little ones can choose a set of fairy wings and dance under twinkling lights on the bandstand. Wonder at a traditional shadow play unfolding in a historic barn. Purchase a hat perfect for a witch at the Dry Goods and stop at the General Store for a sweet treat.
Thanks to the Ancaster Lions the Ironwood Hall will be open with hot chocolate, pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs on the menu.
Tickets are available starting at 6:00 p.m. and the gates to the historic area will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission for an adult is $11.00, a senior (65+) is $10.00, a youth (6-17 years) is $6.50 and a child 5 and under is free. We also accept the HCA Membership pass. Passes will also be available to purchase throughout the evening.
