A Canadian Tradition! Last chance for Maple Syrup at Westfield!
Don’t miss your chance to experience a true Canadian tradition! The Maple Syrup Festival at Westfield Heritage Village has its final day on Sunday March 26, 2017 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Celebrate Canada and get your maple fix as you learn about maple syrup’s role in shaping our history - from First Nation’s and 19th century pioneer traditions to how it’s made today! Bring a friend or the whole family! Tours and demonstrations run throughout the day, including free horse drawn wagon rides, maple syrup samples and a historic photo studio to snap your picture! Reasonably priced pancakes are sold by the St. George Lion’s Club at the Ironwood Hall.
Visitors can enjoy more than thirty-five historic buildings, staffed by Westfield’s authentically costumed interpreters. Warm up by a roaring fire or by a cozy wood stove and learn about local history and Ontario’s past. Don’t miss a trip to the Gift Shop for a wide selection of maple products, including syrup, fudge, teas and candies or a visit to the General Store where you can purchase old fashioned sweet treats.
Beginning in April, Westfield Heritage Village will be open regularly on Sundays and holidays through October. Visit our events page for more details.
