Christmas at Westfield
Holiday traditions abound at Westfield Heritage Village each year with unique programs that run throughout December. This year’s programs will take place on three Saturday evenings – December 3, 10 and 17 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm. and on Sunday December 11 from 12:30 – 4:00 pm. A visit to Westfield has become an annual holiday tradition for many families and friends. It’s a great place to step back in time and enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Christmas past.
At Westfield you can stroll through the village lit by twinkling lanterns, surrounded by the scent of fresh pine, cinnamon and the smell of fresh baked Christmas goodies. Visit more than 35 historic buildings and experience Christmas as it would have been celebrated in the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian eras. Little ones can send a telegraph to the North Pole at the Railway Station, have a visit with Father Christmas, and make a traditional Christmas ornament at the one room log schoolhouse.
Hungry visitors will enjoy stopping by the Ironwood Hall for delicious foods prepared by The Farmhouse Kitchen. The reasonably priced menu features seasonal flavours and a variety of sweet and savoury offerings for every appetite, including light meals, desserts and hot and cold drinks. The Ironwood Hall will be open from 5 – 9:00 pm.
